Colorful Skies- Fake lighthouse at Boca Chita Key in Biscayne Bay

Fake lighthouse at Boca Chita Key in Biscayne National Park

The boat ride to Boca Chita Key in Biscayne National Park is a great experience. The fake lighthouse adds to the beauty of the key. 9-miles from Convoy Point, Boca Chita was once privately owned by Mark Honeywell (info:NPS). When developing the island  the owner had this fake lighthouse built as an ornament!

It could be a nice sight from the top of this lighthouse. I took this picture from the boat. Look at the clear blue water! You know? Sharks frequent these beautiful waters. I saw one too!

  12. Fantastic shot! The guy must be a wealthy eccentric if he had a lighthouse created to serve as an ornament.
