Bangalore to Kuala Lumpur! |
I have been to Kuala Lumpur international airport many times when I traveled by Malaysian airlines. Most of the times, the trips were to USA on work. I used to wait for a good 5-6 hours for the connecting flight. But, never got bored. Such huge and beautiful airport. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to get out of the airport and see the city. I have always wanted to see the skyline, skyscrapers, city and shopping centers, museums while I watched the aircrafts took off and landed.
Now, with the cheap airfare announced by World's Best Online Travel Fair I am tempted to plan a trip to Kuala Lumpur and enjoy the Malaysian hospitality! The blogger contest by AirAsia is curious to know what is reason behind choosing KL over Bangkok. Very simple! Well, I consider both cities are dream destinations. My dream of visiting Bangkok is already fulfilled and I am eagerly waiting to visit the super-cool KL. And what would I be interested in KL? The list is long ...
Petronas Twin Towers- A visit to KL is incomplete without visiting these huh? A bit of shopping, eating, drinking and wandering aimlessly in City Center and shopping centers including Old market square. Some photography, easpecially I want to click a night-shot of Putrajaya Bridge, enjoying the nature at Batu Caves and Bird Park. Would love to learn about Malaysian art and history at National Museum and National art gallery. Visit to Thean Hou and Sri Mahamariammam temples is a must for me to know the local beliefs. Views of the city from KL Tower and other architecturally popular towers must be something every visitor should enjoy IMO. It would be nice if I make it to the Heritage Walk. Last but not the least- Sepang International Circuit to test my ultimate speed!
Some day ... I would love to visit the gorgeous KL!

Deleteit is a sought after destination, no doubt
ReplyDeleteLooks very glamorous!
DeleteI didn't really like KL that much. It reminded me of India a lot. Views from the KL tower were great though.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I wouldn't mind if it reminded me of India, I wouldn't be homesick then :) Well, thanks!
DeleteFrom my opinion, Putrajaya , the administrative capital of Malaysia is much more better to visit during early evening (5PM) when the heat much more tolerable.. Putrajaya Bridge is nice, but I think the main places that you should visit are Pink Mosque and Steel Mosque..
ReplyDeleteThanks Edward! I will make a note of visiting mosques.
