Modern Architecture- Mary Avenue Foot Bridge

I have a fascination to shoot bridges at night! I have taken too much of risk to be all alone in pitch dark near the water getting bit by millions of mosquitoes. But, still I do take pictures of these modern architecture masterpieces.

This is Mary Avenue footbridge  with a span of 325ft across 10-lanes of interstate 280 connecting Cupertino and Sunnyvale in California. It is the first cable-stayed foot-bicycle bridge across a highway in California. At night the bridge is lit up and is a beautiful sight!

Colorful Skies- Golden Gate Bridge behind the clouds

Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco Fog

San Francisco Bay is very popular for its ocean fog! At times the fog creates a beautiful view of landscape around but, many times disappointingly obstructs the views. One such case is view of the world popular Golden Gate Bridge. Tourists flock this place just to see this red beauty which is one of the modern day architectural wonders and often get disappointed. The fog covers the entire bridge! This is how my family saw Golden Gate Bridge when they visited San Francisco! One September morning!

Modern Architecture- Sundial Bridge

I have a great fascination for bridges, be it medieval and modern. And I love photographing them in the night with all illumination on. Here is one ... During my recent visit to USA I wandered around ... One of the pit stops was Redding. Redding is a city in Northern California. In the heart of the city is Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The park has small museums, arboretum, gardens, running tracks and its Sundial Bridge across the Sacramento river is an icon. This free standing pedestrian bridge is a feast for the eyes. A walk across over the river is refreshing.

Modern Architecture- Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco

I have always watched Travel Channel's Wonders of the World, Wonders of USA and similar programs. I wanted to visit all those wonders from all the countries. Living in San Francisco Bayarea provided me with an opportunity of driving over one of the Man-Made wonders of USA- Golden Gate Bridge every other weekend! American Society of Civil Engineers have declared it as one of the modern wonders of the world. This bridge is one of the most visited and photographed in USA.

Some wishes come true and some not. Some resolutions work and some not. I feel happy about the dreams that have come true and keep dreaming about those haven't come true yet :) I always wonder about the unseen world. How is it? what is it? always want to journey a path that leads to a completely unknown wonderful world! My dearest dream for now is Himalayas. Last year a glimpse of those magnificent peaks in Sikkim had kindled the fire which has become an obsession now!
