A short trip to USA

Almost one-and-a-half years ago I returned to India from USA and I ask myself Do I miss my life in USA? I really don't know. I ask myself Do I love living in India? I really don't know! I find myself at home in both the countries. Last month I took a flight to San Francisco, California. I was eager to meet my US-friends. Eager to visit places around. And I did. Well, I went touring around American west-coast, south-west and a bit of north-west for about a month with my sister and her family. Drove about 5000+ miles (8000+ KM) in a month. I love driving! I didn't see or do anything new on this trip but, definitely my old memories refreshed. Family vacations are always special! Today I am heading back. Sitting in Los Angeles airport and typing ...

A month ago our trip started from the most beautiful San Francisco Bayarea, went up north through Redding, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Burney Falls to Crater Lake National Park, Oregon. Headed south visiting Lake Tahoe, Eastern Sierras (Mammoth Lakes), part of northern Yosemite National Park in California. Hanta virus incidents made us skip Yosemite! Headed south to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, and the hottest Death Valley National Park in California. Went east for some family fun to Las Vegas in Nevada. Then the most wonderful Grand Canyon National Park and mesmerizing Antelope Canyon in Arizona. Little north to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks in Utah before I headed south to San Diego for Sea World. And to Los Angeles to visit amusement parks-Disneyland, Universal Studios. Is an USA trip complete without visiting Disneyland and Universal Studios? Ahhh ...

It was a hectic trip with driving about 200+ miles (about 320+ KM) per day for a month. Today I am not driving and it feels odd :) I am all set to blog about my experiences. Well, it was a good break for me to get out of my Madhya Pradesh talk for few weeks. Oh! NO! Don't think I am done with MP! Not yet :)

Look for me to post information about national parks, wildlife and amusement parks of American west-coast and south-west.
